WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE DO

We are proud to present the Frank Geiger Philatelists - www.WorldStamps.com family. Our office is only a few yards from our home and is enhanced with a gorgeous view of our 4 acre pond and surrounded by 20 acres of trees. Our land is filled with deer, box turtles and a fox. We enjoy both our work and the natural area in which to do it!

LADY is our 12 year-old Shetland Sheep Dog. Fiercely loyal and a joy to all of us. She guards our property tenaciously and eagerly notifies us when the Mail, UPS or FedEx arrives. Not a day goes by when she doesn't make someone smile with her affectionate behavior!

MUFFIN is the newest addition to our family.  She is a 3 year old Collie - Shepard mix.  Harriet helped rescue her from deplorable conditions at a kill shelter in the South.  She is playful, affectionate and has given Lady a new puppyhood!

The FOUR CATS: Our four cats are the greatest group of purrers ever! They keep our chairs warm and love to nap in the penny box. Harriet volunteers at the nearby animal shelter and keeps her eye out for cats in need of a good home. Right now, we have Tigey, Creamy, Taffy and Stormy. If you are a feline fancier, mention it in your next letter. (Sales pitch: we have a great array of Cats on Stamps to grace your albums!) Latest news: we have adopted two "outside only" cats: Rexler and Goblin (the furriest of all!). Great mouse hunters!!

CHERRY: This is our resident goldfish now nearing fourteen years old! How this fish successfully withstands the playfulness of the cats is a mystery to us all!

LISA, who has been working here since 2003, has been creating 2004 New Issue Year Sets daily and, when taking a break from that task, been painstakingly inputing more stock into the website database.  She has eased our workload noticeably!

COLLEEN is the latest addition to our staff.  As a dog lover, she is fitting in very well and learning about the world of philately.  She has been creating 20056 Year Sets as well as sorting several large recent purchases.

ELLEN processes many of the New Issues which arrive daily and helps create our famous Year Sets. She is new to Philately and already tempted to start collections of South Africa and Jersey!

FRANKIE, our son, is age 16 and the resident computer guru. He helps in the office by preparing stamps on envelopes and sorting postage. He has been making websites since he was 8!  His Pokemon Card site has had over 20,000 hits. He is now enjoying learning the trumpet and guitar.  He is very interested in PHP, MySQL, HTML, XML, C++, C#.   Huh?

TRACY, our 19 year-old daughter is the "sports nut" of the house and probably knows more about pro-football, hockey and basketball than any two of us put together! She is also an excellent student and enjoys reading, movies, music of many types, crime shows on TV and more!  She is in the final part of her Freshman year at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY!  She played varsity basketball and contributed to the upset of the #1 team in the league.

HARRIET keeps things humming smoothly around the office. She is in charge of maintaining client records and oversees the shipping department. Plus she does a lot of the computer inputting so you can see she has a very busy day. Add to that her pets, painting, reading and volunteer work, you can see it is a wonder that she sleeps at all!

FRANK has been a Professional Philatelist since graduating from M.I.T. with two degrees in 1969. He started dealing in stamps at age 7 in second grade! He has built a tremendous stock of stamps ranging from classics to rarities to FDC's to Year Sets. His non-philatelic interests are golf, basketball, baseball, traveling and reading.
